⌁User prompt

Why can people use my app while search engines miss its content?

Assistant response

An application can work well after a person logs in or clicks through a client-side flow while exposing little useful public content to search systems. Discoverability starts with accessible URLs, meaningful page content, and clear relationships between pages. A polished interface does not automatically make its information available for indexing.

Inspect a public content page as a standalone destination. It should have a specific title, a useful description, readable main content, and links that connect it to related material. If every item shares a generic title or exists only behind an interaction with no stable URL, the site gives both readers and crawlers less to work with.

Technical accessibility is only one layer. A page that repeats generic advice without answering a real question may be indexable yet offer little reason to appear prominently. Original examples, clear scope, accurate sourcing, and an answer that delivers on the title are stronger foundations than adding unsupported claims about an optimization shortcut.

Consult Google Search Central's search-appearance documentation for current requirements and available features. Inclusion and ranking are not guaranteed by a markup change. Treat AI-search visibility as another discovery outcome to measure while improving the same underlying public content and technical accessibility.

Step 2

Build a practical check

Manual
⌁User prompt

What should I fix before chasing AI-search tricks?

Assistant response

Choose five representative public pages and inspect their initial HTML, canonical URLs, response status, and indexing directives. Confirm that the title and main answer belong to the requested page rather than a generic loading screen. Also verify that an ordinary internal link can reach each page from a relevant category or index.

Check the distinction between private and public content before changing crawler access. Search visibility should follow the product's intended publication rules. Fixing discoverability must not expose drafts, account pages, private documents, or data that appears in a response only because the server reused an authenticated context incorrectly.

Improve one weak page by answering its main question directly, adding a worked example, and removing a title promise the content cannot support. Give related pages distinct purposes instead of producing near-identical variants for keywords. This makes the change useful to a reader even if search traffic does not increase immediately.

Measure the result through the search tools and analytics you actually have: indexing status, impressions, relevant queries, visits, and meaningful user actions. Compare like-for-like periods and note other changes that could explain movement. A useful experiment produces evidence about your site, not a guarantee that a fashionable phrase will create rankings.
